Any of the above additional tags (alone or in combination) is great! I do adore hurt/comfort/angst. There doesn’t necessarily need to be comfort afterwards either if the flow of the story is better as a hurt no comfort sort of thing. I’m fond of emotional hurt and physical hurt, both are good.

Three sort of avenues for fic here: I’m thinking something along the lines of Caleb encountering Trent again (somewhere mid campaign, possibly post Bren reveal and the like), separated from group one way or the other. Trent emotionally toys with him, before eventually getting him under his control to attack his friends. Eventually breaks out or broken out of it by friends, guilt in aftermath, and comfort ensues from group.
Second would be some fun times with Essek and he gets a flashback of sorts.
Third would be, well. Overstimulated Caleb has a breakdown and is comforted by the gang. Could happen after a Trent encounter.

If you ever saw the deleted fic "The Matter of Free Will", some influence from that would be good too, though I'd rather the humans involved definitely are not real people - might be historically tricky, but if their "handlers" aren't the same people as their governments it works, and honestly I'd prefer "crowd of nameless OCs surrounding the canon characters I'm actually here for". How did Hawks grow up? What was his training like at the HPSC? How did he go from a very non-expressive (emotionally) flat child to a bright smiling hero? What kind of missions has he been doing? How did they groom him into the assassin double agent he is in canon?
I would love to see that explored! I really like abusive HPSC so make it as whumpy and gritty and full of punishment as you want. Even sexual abuse would be cool with me! I just want to see him struggle and I want to see him hurt and I want to see him grow up and train and push himself through it. Please show me all that "the HPSC's Bad Parenting" tag has in store!
I'm also a big fan of Hawks acting like a bird. And having more bird features than we see in canon. Hawks making bird sounds, Hawks having bird attributes, Hawks having bird behaviour... I like the headcanon of the HPSC removing some of his bird features as he grew up so do with that what you will!

Soooooo. Time-traveler Kirielle! I think it would be really interesting to explore how she deals with all of the nonsense associated with that—she’s nine, not fifteen, so she’d be growing up while looking like a child, and she’d have to trick her way around people a lot more to get them to take her seriously. It would be different, also, depending on if she were a hanger-on or the Controller; ironically she’d probably have more support in her learning and growing if she were a hanger-on, since there’d be at least one other person looping with her then. She’d also look like a lot less of a threat to anyone looking for those—physically, she’s nine years old, no matter how long she lives, and children are a lot less threatening than teenagers. But what's it like, to keep growing up while your body is that of a child? How does this change things--if she gets pulled in, is that in addition to Zorian? Instead of him? What changes, to lead to that divergence (well, presumably the biggest change is that she'd have to succeed at talking him into taking her to Cyoria on her first try, but there could be lots of details in that idea!)
You'd have to kind of lean into the absurdity for this one, since it's a bit of a silly premise, but also consider--Kirielle is the Controller, not a hanger-on. How does she react to being in a looping world, with no one else looping she can possibly compare notes with? What does she do with her time? Why did the angels choose her? How does this impact canon—is Jornak even a problem, does the whole Sovereign Gate affair pass much as it was meant to rather than the debacle that became of it in canon? Does choosing a literal child turn out to be a better option, somehow, than choosing a teenager was?

I love all these characters SO much. Dabi, Hawks, DabiHawks, the League as family, Hawks and Tokoyami acting like siblings, the Todoroki siblings trying to figure out how to be together as siblings given all their shit, Hawks and Nagant both having to endure the HPSC's shit, the parallels between Hawks and Nagant (as HPSC agents), Hawks and Shigaraki (as both being taken in by powerful people and raised for their goals), Hawks and Dabi (as traumatised kids who wanted to be heroes and with Endeavor, I sure love explorations of their opposing views of him and them finding out about this of each other). I love abusive HPSC and the League being protective and adopting Hawks too.
I personally headcanon Dabi/Touya as being a little clumsy and not necessarily super comfortable in his body if you want to use that for the Dabi dancing tag and like the idea of him finding joy in dancing anyway.

Ok ok hear me out - You can find Capon's camp really early on but he's not usually there until you get the ghost quest. When you do get the quest it is possible to find him asleep or busy and he doesn't even notice you. You know where I'm going with this right? Kind of sort of Amor and Psyche situation! Quasi!anonymous sex between people who know each other FTW! ;DDD
I'd love if angry violence was involved! Henry somehow convinced Hans doesn't know it's him getting all up in his business some nights and angsting about it encouraged! Hans fighting back but getting overwhelmed and Henry fucking him face-first against the rocks, maybe giving him a bloody nose in the process? Yes please!!

I'm generally happy with any combination of characters, I just went broad with the tags to keep options open (Anya, Joyce and Riley are welcome, too). I'm not terribly fussed about the how, why or the fix for de-aging ("magic goes awry; research followed by more magic fixes" is a perfectly fine explanation) and more interested in how they all deal with the person or people they know being so different now. I'm partial to 3 scenarios:
1) Giles, 6 months-1 year-ish.
Some time where he might be mobile and sociable but not talking. Completely helpless. Who would he gravitate to? Buffy, because that's just how deep their bond goes, even if he doesn't know anything about it, yet? Spike? Because he sounds like the people Baby Giles might have memories of or maybe because even though adult Giles would never admit it, at a base level he shares similarities both with bad boy spike and bloody awful poet William? Or someone else? Is anyone NOT particularly good with a baby? Or surprisingly good?
DNW: Any of the Core 3 Scoobies on diaper duty.
2) Xander de-aged, maybe 9-12.
If you ignore all the fruit punch and snacks of season 4, Xander's homelife has always been portrayed as bad. It was mostly laughed off, but I always wanted to see it taken seriously. What if it really was a bad, abusive home and Willow doesn't really know because that's the side of his life he shared with Jesse (and apparently a little bit with Cordelia). But now he's a boy who's still learning how to mask his hurt and anger with humor, and he's just one part defiant, one part scared and one part very confused by "grown up Willow," all these people who know him somehow and the home they're telling him he couldn't go back to even if he wanted to (and maybe there's a little piece of him that does, because at least the bad is still familiar). Also hungry. And maybe bored. What's all this like for him? Is there someone non-Willowy that he gravitates to? What's it like for the gang?
3) Core Scoobies with optional Scooby-adjacents de-aged to rambunctious children.
Poor Giles. Who will help him with these kids? But also, maybe it's a nice look at what could have been, and it isn't all bad...when they're not being little hellions.
DNW: Any mention of the sexual relationship any of them might have as adults. No lamenting what was and is so not possible now, no commenting on the awkwardness of the situation. Just, none of that even being a factor.
Big Dad Energy can apply to any of the above as well, but if you're just into that and not the whole de-aging element, I'm also very fond of Xander & Giles in a very specific way, based on some very specific moments:
In 4.22 Restless, during Xander's dream sequence - just before his father literally rips out his heart - Xander sees Giles and Spike, and Giles says "Spike is like a son to me." Xander replies "That's good; I used to be about that." And that line really got my imagination going because there were a good few seasons there in the middle where it seemed like Xander was desperate for a good male role model and always coming up empty and it's just not a stretch for me to believe there was a period where he would look at what Buffy & Giles had and want that too. Buuuut, then there's 2.16 Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered, where Xander comes clean about being behind the spell that was wreaking so much havoc, and Giles glares at him and spits out "Get out of my sight," and the look on Xander's face...it just goes beyond "Man, I really messed up" to "I have just irreparably damaged something." If there were a moment for Xander to feel like he was merely tolerated for Buffy's sake, that would be it, and I would like an AU that really played with the consequences of that feeling. The show whizzes past it and things are more or less fine next week, but I would like an AU where Xander withdraws from the Scoobies. Avoids the library when Giles is there, and does the one thing he's never really done before. He studies. He gets As and tries to be a better person, leaving everything else behind. Then Snyder kicks him out because surely Xander Harris must be cheating to get those grades, and there's no one at home willing to fight for him and no one at school who doesn't kind of feel like that checks out. So now, he's alone. Maybe still living at home but trying not to be there because now his dad has even more reason to be terrible; maybe renting a shoe box because being a stockboy at the grocery store doesn't pay that well and studying for the GED because why would he want to go back to that school where nobody believes in him just to repeat junior year? And it's when he's walking home or being harassed by frat boys at the store that Giles sees him again maybe for the first time in months and realizes that he hadn't even really noticed he wasn't there and that maybe there's more to Xander than he thought.

What if Clark gets de-aged to his teen body and somehow that ends up with him back at Smallville High with the boys? I really like the idea that even though he knows how to control his powers, his body isn't quite letting him and Jon and Jordan have to run interference both for accidental power use and making up stories for any ancient librarians or teachers who might be "You look an awful lot like Clark Kent when he was here..." (IDK, maybe they explain him as a relative who popped up from a DNA site like Ancestry). And maybe he could learn a little more about his kids -- and they him -- along the way, especially if he's accidentally overhearing things.
This is a concept that lends itself well to funny fluff, but if set in season 2 or 3 it's also rife with potential to hit darker notes as Jon struggles with the repercussions of the XK incident and still being kind of a pariah even when he's back at school, and Jordan clearly wanting to be a hero. And how does Clark interact with the boys and other people when he can't be "Mr. Kent." Is there ever a time in public where one or both of them take advantage of him being "just another kid" versus someone they have to listen to?
DNW: Anything remotely sexy with Lois and de-aged Clark. If it has to be mentioned, it's too weird for her and one of them is sleeping on the couch. Even if Teen Clark is kind of cute.
De-aged with memory up to that age
For this I really like the idea of Clark being very young, like 6-9 range. He's at his home, but it's not like he remembers, and his parents are gone and there are these new people here who say they're family, and he's weirdly strong and fast and can sneeze a wall down if dandelion fluff gets in his nose, and WHAT'S GOING ON? I love the idea of Jordan, who's only a year or so into having powers himself now having to help Little Clark manage his and flying him to the fortress for help. And even though there's a large portion of the series where Clark and Jon are struggling with each other, I really like the idea of Little Clark really latching on to him for human comfort. And what if this helps Jon see Clark as a person again too, and not just the Superman who doesn't always seem that interested in him anymore (Note: I don't really think that's the case, but I absolutely think Jon feels that way, at least in season 2).
I love Lois, but if the boys seem to have everything in hand, I kind of think she would nope out of the house and keep herself busy at the paper as much as she could while her husband was a literal child.
