Some fandom-specific thoughts/prompts:
I've been devouring this podcast and it's just so good – the mix of supernatural and political plots, the incredibly cool characters and the different dynamics they all have with each other, the excellent storytelling and voice acting, and of course the shippiness all around! I'm predictable, how could I say no to a Ventrue/Brujah loyalty kink ship?
I love the dynamics between Johnny and Miles so much. The fact that Johnny is fed up with the Camarilla, but still there to have Miles' back – and Miles knows it and trusts him with that and relies on him. The fact that they've spent a lot of their Kindred lives together and clearly know each other so well (details like Johnny picking a car he thinks Miles would be okay with driving in a specific situation). And at the same time, Miles is so much more standoffish and distant than the rest of the coterie; he almost never touches anyone; he never talks about his feelings – I'd love to see how any sort of sexual and/or romantic relationship between them would start and develop when Miles usually keeps even the people closest to him at a distance. They're both protective, but behave very differently towards the people they care about, and I think that could make for a fun push-and-pull when it turns from friendly to sexual/romantic.
I'm up for anything set before, during or after canon; anything from long, secret pining to casual fucking while the feelings come later; either or both of them being perfectly chill about being attracted to men to being repressed/uncertain about it. This is a ship I can see working out in many different ways under many different circumstances, so go where your ideas take you!
I like the rest of the coterie and a lot of NPCs, with some faves being Wynn, Neil, Ira, Kabir, Weathers, and Fester, so feel free to have other characters show up. I'd also enjoy outside POVs or characters reacting to finding out about Johnny/Miles (Wynn would have a field day with that ...).
Note re: Johnny's relationship with his wife: I'm good with explicit infidelity and Johnny angsting about what he might still consider cheating; I'm also good with not mentioning her or having Johnny feel that they've been separated for so long that he's allowed to be with someone else now.

The long and short of this request is: if you want to do a cute holodeck romance, I love this. That's the very first tag for a reason. Everything else is just iddy trash that I also love and could very easily be explored by Reg in a space where he feels safe and knows there's no real consequences for asking for these things, or programming these things. And maybe some of these kinkier requests are little offshoot programs he built so they don't reflect against his actual work.
When I say any, I do mean any, including minor characters. Any gender or species. Though I am only interested in stories where it's set before Reg actually knows any of the Voyager crew, so it's going to be based on what information they have at that time. But I love the weird little fantasy world he has for himself where he feels comfortable and confident, albeit a little guilty because he knows he's feeding into his addiction
I love Reg. I don't want this to be seen as a joke. And I'm not interested in him getting caught by anyone or learning a lesson. I actually just want to see what goes on in this rich holo-life he's built. And the idea that when he's in this space that he can change and reset as necessary, that he has that confidence he struggles with in his real life is interesting to play with.

Darksword notes: are these books good? no. are these books gay? not clear if it's intentional but good god yes. I'm fascinated by the sexual politics of the setting, especially in conjunction with the fact that spouses apparently at least sometimes do sleep in the same bed. Joram's sojourn in our world also creates some interesting opportunities: how has his exposure to sex as a normal facet of life (re)shaped his attitudes towards sexuality and the body?
I should I guess note that I'm still in the middle of rereading, and my memories of Triumph and Legacy are vague. but I will have reread all of them by the time fics come due, so feel free to include stuff from any!

Second Doctor/Jamie: I just love the Second Doctor's and Jamie's relationship so much! Also, I love when Jamie tries to show off as this big strong Highlander who is afraid of no man and that ends up backfiring (think not managing to open the Cybermen tomb, or insisting that he won't be cold in the Himalayas and then complaining of the cold). Bonus points for the Doctor playing his recorder, especially if he's kidnapped/trapped somewhere.
Third Doctor/Alistair: I think they're very sweet! The Doctor clearly learns to respect the Brigadier in time, and as exasperated as the Brigadier can be with him, he can also be so fond of the Doctor. One of my favourite moments for them is when the Brigadier scolds his scientist for doubting the Doctor's plan, saying of course it's going to work if the Doctor said so, and then turning to the Doctor to ask if it's really going to work. Also, when the Doctor took him to that show with the comic and dancers and the psychic, that had such a date night vibe!

The bitter exes* who stole my heart. They're fucked up and I love them for it. I can see them both as this sweet and tragic romance where they're hiding their feelings but still have an unexpected gentleness towards each other, and as not knowing what of their feelings is hate and what is love and working out their aggression to sex to keep from killing each other. And everything in between! Going on adventures together, working together against a common enemy (or someone the Master thinks is an ally), the Master's latest plan catching the Doctor's attention, having a temporary truce, anywhere you want to go with this is great.

Grant & Jack & Nate almost certainly run in at least some of the same circles, so I can very much see them interacting at events like charity balls, conferences, board meetings, business lunches, stuff like that. And obviously Jack would bring Channon to some of those things, and Grant canonically occasionally brings Luc with him to that stuff, so there's also opportunity for Channon and Luc to meet. And even thought Channon and Luc are pretty different people, I think they would vibe ~really~ well with each other, and I've been wanting to see people write some combination of these guys interacting for ages!

My general thoughts for this ship:
First, you don't really need to read the whole canon to get the vibes for this ship - I'll give you a tl;dr of the ship in the letter, but it's from a romance serial and there's not a whole lot of backstory to know, so if you're interested in the freeforms you probably won't have much trouble writing this.
Second, canonically Ewan *is* a heavy painslut sub with an abusive past relationship and Nate is an excellent compatible dom for him, so shifting things just a little over to make things a bio D/s world means we've got some really interesting options for how everything happens! And with the whole workplace relationship vibes of canon, adding bio D/s bureaucracy is a surefire way to make things even more complicated and interesting!

My general jam for this fandom:
I absolutely fucking adore Luc - the way he does relationships is something I don't see in a main character basically ever, and I love the depiction of an aromantic person who nevertheless loves deeply, just not in the way that most people understand as romance. This series is basically perfection and I love all the characters, and the way it portrays so many different, amazing relationships and situations is just so incredibly satisfying to me.
I've been asking for the Disko/Temi scene for a few exchanges, because that whole 'badass bisexual pro surfing champion teaches younger Russian up and coming pro hockey star about how being queer is actually very nice' thing is a whole, beautiful vibe, and you don't even need to read the whole canon to get the idea - there's a short section that tells you all you need to know, and I'm linking it in the letter.
I also love Honoré - sensitive, angry queer boy who dated a closeted hockey player who was definitely going pro and in love with his assumed straight best friend, who grew up into a grad student manning a coffee shop and was won over to begrudging friendship with said best friend years later, and had a very awkward reunion with his high school love when the best friend introduces the love as his husband? That's fucking priceless and the character is just so fucking amazing, and also we don't really see much of Jacks other relationships outside of Luc and I just feel like Jacks deserves to have boyfriends too, ok?
And Grant, oh! He's been through so much, being gay when he grew up, losing someone precious to him to AIDS and the implied complications around that person's sex work, the evolution from ruthless businessman who definitely took advantage to get to where he is into someone who realizes that he needs to do better, the way he is so charmed by Luc's everything - he's just such a good example of an older gay man and I love that and him.

Canon identity porn AND two characters with a deeply person history of antagonism and mutual grudges? No wonder I fell so fast and hard for this ship from the first time I watched 1x05 and haven't been able to shake it ever since! Tommy and Bubonic might only share five minutes of screentime in total but there's such a wealth of tension and history between those two! I wish we'd got to see more of it on the show – and especially more of Bubonic, who's exactly my favorite kind of character: a smart-as-a-whip bundle of issues who looks sweet and vulnerable but could ruin your life a dozen ways without even moving from the couch. So naturally, I adore the little shit. ♥
I love how they're both a little too focused on each other than they should be. Bubonic tells Lindy about how he blames the Cyber Crimes division for his girlfriend's death, but he's targeting Tommy specifically. And while he has both the skills and the motive to wreak serious damage, he ends up doing little more than messing with Tommy's head and playing mindgames. The disparity between what we're told about Bubonic vs how he acts and is treated intrigues me. Shaw calls him the biggest threat the Cyber Crimes unit ever faced, and yet neither Bubonic nor Tommy acts like it. Bubonic seems a little... unhinged maybe, but hardly a murderous psychopath. The stunt with emptying Tommy's apartment is an awful prank at worst and at best glorified pigtail pulling – not to mention that he takes a totally unnecessary risk in showing his face just to mess with Tommy.
And Tommy, in return, doesn't even bother to call it in. And when he gets an anonymous "come out so we can talk" text, he's like, 'k, sure, why not go into a dark alley to meet Cyber Crime's most wanted for some quality one-on-one time?' (Also, I wonder who called the ambulance for him...) It's like their mutual obsession with each other and the undercurrent of possessiveness makes both of them incredibly reckless.
I would love to see more of that dynamic – be it with things escalating between them until something has to give, or having to work together (which is bound to be an epic fest of snark and accusations and sarcasm). And if they both then get a little too caught up in their whole... thing, and unexpected – and very much unwanted – feelings get in the way, it would make me incredibly happy!
(Incidentally, both the MTV Eye Candy website and IMDb listed Bubonic as "Charlie". Now, I don't know where the name came from as it's never mentioned on the show; if it's from the production notes or just a mistake, but since I was writing about them and needed to call him something, I went with it and now I've kind of adopted it as my head canon. He kind of looks like a Charlie. :D)

I'm always intrigued by characters whose self-perception is totally askew and who believe they have good reasons for the terrible things they're doing. I think Gary genuinely thinks he's doing what has to be done to keep the town and the people safe, in his own messed up way, and doesn't realize that he's a prejudiced, narrow-minded bully. And I love how Kieren gets under his skin - he's everything Gary instinctively hates (educated, gay, PDS sufferer) but he's also pretty and kind and he has people who care for him (unlike Gary, who doesn't really seem to have anyone he's particularly close to). Gary's feelings for Kieren seem to be a confused mess of loathing, jealousy and desire - not that I think he's self-aware enough to realise any of that.
And then there's Kieren, who doesn't seem to be afraid of Gary even when Gary's at his most volatile. He stepped in front of Gary's gun twice, he keeps riling him up when Gary's already in a foul mood, and even in the S2 finale when Gary's in his room, violating his personal space, he seems more exasperated than angry/scared. Also, let's face it: the most common denominator in Kieren's crushes/boyfriends is that they're all Not Good For Him (™). I could see him going for Gary, after learning about Simon's betrayal, be it out of loneliness or self-flagellation or simply because he thinks he can change Gary. (And maybe he could? Who knows, it seems to have worked well enough on both Rick and Simon.)
Basically, there's world of possibilities for those two to clash and for the subtext that's lingering under the surface to come to the fore, and I'm here for all of them, whether it's straight-up dubcon porn and tropey enemies-to-lovers fic that has them catch feelings (or both!).

I love how complicated their entire dynamic is! How it often seems like their enmity is nothing personal but just a conflict of morals and we have Slade canonically doing stuff like breaking into Dick's apartment to graciously let him know he's got a contract in Nightwing's city [Nightwing (1996) #79 ff.] and they're pretty cordial when they interact. But on the other hand, we also have Slade dropping Chemo on Bludhaven just to take revenge on Dick for turning Rose against him, and his vicious fixation on Dick in Dark Crisis ("You were always the trophy, Grayson. Why would I waste my time with anyone else?" Really, Slade?!).
I love every aspect of that relationship. The whole usually-enemies-sometimes-reluctant-allies thing is a lot of fun and very much my kind of thing, and I'm basically into every aspect of that - from grudging alliances and unexpected protectiveness that makes them catch feelings over "no one gets to kill you but me" moments to fights/kidnappings leading to dubcon or fics that explore where Slade's lines are and how Dick is clearly his exception to some of them. But on the other hand, I'm also very much into the idea of some kind of (complicated, thorny) fix-it after the destruction of Bludhaven, which was very much personal and made their conflict run a lot deeper, or something set after Dark Crisis where the stakes are higher.

My whole idea here is Tris spanking Peter as payback and punishment for all the things he's done to her and others. I swear every ship my brain decides to hyperfixate on is always the most seemingly random combination that hardly interact with each other but I have personally decided are the most important thing in the world to me. I opt in to sequels/series to gifts to me.
This is such a long-shot, I tried to distill the freeform down to "just make them meet!" Show me how they react! As I mention below, it's all about indulging in the crossover.
Ways I could see this working:
- the world of See is literally a world in Pegasus, and the two pairs just happen to be doppelgangers?
- or it's a parallel universe, whose history (and timing) went very differently (and McShep are either crossing over universes or are AU versions who are part of the history of See's world)?
- some kind of fusion in which they all exist together but it somehow combines the premises of both shows?
- what if it was a universe in which there were also Ancient artifacts somewhere to be found among the artifacts of our lost current-day civilization?
- don't bother to explain it, roll with the indulgent premise
- I'd prefer the SGA characters in peril and the See characters with the upper hand, whether it's McShep in the See world or the See characters brought to a wider Stargate environment (not that one or the other of the See characters can't be in some peril either, maybe of some outside or each other's/their own making)
- Jaunquin and Tormada both, but especially Tormada, would be so intrigued, and would try to get some advantage out of it
- Rodney and John would probably be...weirded out? In a sci-fi-savvy way?
- that said, if you want it to be less obvious to the characters (or to some) than it is to the reader, I'd still be into it (but either way I will be over here enjoying the compare and contrast of their similarities and differences, advantages and disadvantages, physical and otherwise)
- I've made them two ships with an ampersand between them, but please feel free to mix them all up and combine them physically once they encounter each other (emotionally too, if you want); also don't worry if they're not fully shippy or if the perspective favors one set over the other
- could be unresolved/repressed/unexpressed on the McShep side
- and differently unresolved on the Jaunquin/Tormada side, in that I think they've probably had something going
- I think there's a lot of potential for twisting, twisty, leveraging, angsty torment and desperate rescues and surprising alliances
- Tormada would be like the most pleased cat about all this, toying with his new catches
- anything in my See request applies here too

While I adore smutty fics about these two, I thought I'd open up the options: Smut, kink, whump, captivity (one of the other or both together), restraints, very personal aspects of very wide-reaching maneuvering, trust that's both real and not, from "I'm actually trusting you and we're kinking on that" to "We're pretending there's trust here, and we're kinking on the fact that we're pretending and we both know it's pretense."
Things I like about these two:
- the material culture, sensory play, devices, because of course Tormada would
- clever wily plotting minds
- authoritative Jaunquin, smug Tormada
- marking, what are some more ways Tormada could mark or decorate (jewelry?) him (permanently or not, publicly discernible or not)?
- kissing
- rivallies, each equally up for holding his own, one probably more sadistic than the other; and as I ship it, both kinky in ways that are borderline going too far, and never knowing whether it's about the power or the kink--it's both--and physical about it while also fully engaging those minds
- Jaunquin with a temper...actually, they probably both have a temper
- they can get brutal with each other, what with the canonical details, but they can also be tender, fascinated, observant, obsessive, playful, and really into it
- while also knowing better
- I don't know what it is about their hair/facial hair/body hair, but I love it
- there's a weight to Jaunquin, and an elevated intensity to Tormada, and something about the maturity of them both
- the power play, personal bleeding into larger-scale and vice-versa
- do they actually like each other? maybe they do! they're certainly attracted to each other (as I ship it, not in some canonical way) to what lengths will they go to preserve each other, or at what point will they decide suddenly to do so or not do so? do they know?
- they have probably both thought they were using each other for their own ends
- I'd be pretty happy if Tormada just kept Jaunquin for his toy, and if Jaunquin tried to win his own advantage back; I think there could also be room for a look at earlier in their relationship, or some partnership could be interesting too
- the danger
- Jaunquin's love of Trivantes (and the way he pronounces "the Republic"), and Tormada's love of...himself
- Tormada's tongue...Tormada's tongue in his mouth, his mobile mouth, when he makes his poetic little speeches

One thing I'd really like is for them to be sure that they shouldn't in spite of wanting to--because of duty, because of ethics, because of their own or the other's well-being...and then to decide, one day, to do it. I'd love that self-denial whether it's slowly eroded or suddenly burst through. There could be biological or outside factors at play, but even if there are, I'd like for at least one of them to feel that they have a choice at some point in the story, for one or both characters to have a choice, whatever that choice is, whatever choice they make. I'm into pining, especially if it's mutual, but they could decide at different points that they want to go for it.
I'd love some mutually appreciative sex in which the participants are just as competent and energetic as they are in their professional lives. I'd like them to be interested in their own and the other's pleasure and comfort (physical, emotional), even in the reluctant situations. I'd like it to bring them closer. And I'd like them to be equals as individuals even as their ranks put a prescribed space between them. I love the common ground that they have in their shared background and the fact that it went differently for each of them, and the tension or special attention that this seems to create between them. I love how much they want to do right by each other (and enjoy the denial as being related to that). I also love sexual tension between them, and how much more intense it makes it when that tension wins.
Any way you want to address or not address canonical relationships is fine with me, from handwaving to canon-divergence AUs to it all exists together amicably to breakups (except for killing off a canonical partner in order to end a relationship), as long as the requested ship is what the fic is about, and they're genuinely interested in each other. I like the way canonical ships are depicted in canon, but for the purposes of this request, I don't want those to overpower what I'm asking for.
It'd be interesting to see them deal with this on-ship, but if you want to put them outside their daily lives, I think they could have fun (or serious peril) on the holodeck, or go undercover on an alien planet or time, or there could be a prisoner scenario.

This is my request for something very John-centric, from literally no other characters actually there with him to there are many yet he's somehow alone among them. I love the juxtaposition of his aloneness/loneliness/yearning with his capacity for charming connection with and genuine caring for other people. I love being inside his head (even if we get there via another's POV!)
For the whump:

- I love John on his knees. Canon seems to love him on his knees too. Looking up (usually in distress, but not necessarily) is a great camera angle for him
- I savor the taste of John's defiance just as much as all those Queens who want to eat him
- it would take a long time of being made to kneel to either of these guys to make it into numb second nature for John; but what is entailed in this 'numb second nature'? is he just resigned to it? is he biding his time but meanwhile the physical act has habituated him? has he been beaten down to this? did Kolya somehow manage the psychological feat of mastering him (at least for now)? did Todd do some mind thing?
- how did he do it?? what did he do to him?? what is he doing with him now that he has him like this? is he using him for something? is it just revenge? control? displaying that control to others or to control others? torture? fascination? what else is he making him do?
- canon divergences at any point to make this work are all good for me; captivity; mind games of both or just John's doing; maybe a honeypot/infiltration thing; Kolya winning; John giving himself up for the sake of others
- for Kolya, it doesn't have to actually be shippy or sexual, but I do want to play on this intensely personal enmity between them, as in "The Eye", when Teyla asks whether Kolya would kill McKay and Weir just because they're of no further use to him, and John stops and says, "No. He'd kill them to punish me"
- for Todd, what if it wasn't just a cat and mouse of trust and alliance, what if he did have some reason to want to punish John, or was more in on it with Kolya? (but cat and mouse also very good)
- what if Kolya was the one who ended up in a reluctant and dangerous alliance with John? what if Todd for some reason captured and mistreated John for a while?
- things I'm into: Kolya's amusement when he's tormenting (well, actually, mostly Rodney, but everyone), the way he stares when he's making Todd torture John; the way these enemies get under each other's skin; their respect for each other as opponent, the way John meets their eyes when tortured or threatened
- trust: anywhere on the spectrum of actual trust, with the kinking also involving anything from "I'm actually putting trust in you" to "We're pretending there's trust here, and we're kinking on the fact that we're pretending and we both know it's pretense"

- if there's latent attraction but not a whole thing until whatever happens to cause the situation, and we see the process of getting used to the idea, that'd be good too

- ritualized because I like that (but it can be any kind of ritual, private, public, aliens made them do it, societal, something they come up with for themselves, etc.)
- there's sex, but it's so much more than that
- generally, I default to John inclined to submit, and (often) elsewhere I've mentioned how pretty he is on his knees/bound/etc. but a version of this story in which he's not so inclined, or not fully, or doesn't know it, could be interesting too
- while I love him on his knees/bound/repressed/etc. I like him un-passive, and if you want him to be assertive or even aggressive about his wants, at some point, that'd be hot too
