Nominations are closed!

I will make a final post for any clarifications after I've gone through all the nominations. Hopefully that will be in a few hours.

Some people had issues where AO3 wouldn't let them nominate anymore. I'll be adding your nominations after I've gone through the other nominations. If I forget anything, let me know.

Can I ask why there's a maximum of 6 requests/offers per sign-up (as opposed to 10)? It's your decision, obviously, and I understand if there's a reason for limiting them that I'm not thinking of, but it seems like it would make signing up & matching easier if people could request/offer more things - especially in a freeform exchange where people are likely to want to make multiple requests per fandom since the tropes they find iddy for A&B and for C/D in the same fandom could be very different.

Strongly seconding this suggestion! I can't think of any benefits to limiting requests and offers, but I can think of several benefits to increasing the number to 8 or 10. That said, I am also open to keeping it at 6 if it's easier/necessary for the mod! But my preference would definitely be at least 8, if possible.

(One of the AYRT, I think?)

That's totally fine! I've appreciated the great modding so far, so I understand wanting to keep the rules as-is. I feel like I'm still missing how it makes things easier, though? I have modded a few exchanges, and we allowed 10 fandoms for offers and requests to make our lives easier, not harder. Letting people go wild with fandom offers and requests should theoretically result in fewer PHs and unmatchable participants. Does it make life difficult in some other way I haven't considered? Just curious if I have accidentally been making my life harder!

Also, just to clarify, we will have 6 fandom slots total and a minimum of 3 unique fandoms, correct? Not 10 fandom slots with a minimum of 3 unique fandoms and a maximum of 6 unique fandoms? I'm assuming the former, but I've assumed wrong before.

Thanks again for modding this! I'm really excited about it and have had a lovely experience so far.

I would love more slots, but whatever you're comfortable with is okay! Like I said, all the veteran exchange mods I've asked have advised me that more fandom slots = easier modding. But I'm a fairly new exchange mod, so I definitely don't fully understand how AO3 works yet.

Either way, as a participant, I also love extra slots for freeform exchanges. Even if I only request three fandoms, my ships are usually so different I have to split them into at least two or three groups. The iddier and broader the exchange, the more slots I need—and this is a fantastically iddy and broad exchange! Six slots definitely feels tight for this exchange IMO. Like I said, I'm excited for the exchange and will make it work regardless, but more fandom slots would definitely let our ids run wilder. :D

Different anon

Yay, this is amazing. I was really struggling with narrowing my requests down to six :D

Thanks, mod! That's awesome news.

As a fairly frequent exchange mod, I've always found it easier if people can request and offer the max, so you're probably doing yourself a favour here as well as everyone else. ;)
