General likes:
Childhood flashbacks and backstory; flashbacks and pre-canon backstory in general; slice of life; dreams and other ways to look into the characters' subconscious (I like when it gets very weird, but it also doesn't have to); symbolism; parallels; character study; a character meeting their child self; "what if" AU and other kinds of canon divergent AUs; time travel AU in the context of getting a second chance to do something from the past differently (the "Peggy Sue" trope); dorkiness; characters having fun; children doing their own thing and not being controlled; humor; pop culture references (from tv more than from movies); future/post-canon; exploring canon mental illness and the process of healing from trauma; discovering inner strength and returning to who you really are.
Additional fandom-specific likes:
Re: canonically dead character being alive, I would just love any version of events in which Quentin never died. Normally I enjoy the kind of fix-its where he comes back too, but this is idfic and I just want him to never have been even a little bit dead. It's up to you if you just change the events in the Mirror World or change something earlier so that he doesn't even go there in the first place.
Re: dorkiness and geeking out, you can include it as a part of a fic that mainly deals with something else, or you can just write the entire fic about these amazing dorks being dorky and nerdy, in any configuration and for any reason.
Re: dreams, bonus points if they are related to the processing of trauma or deeper discovery of the self. Then again, Quentin's dorky fandom dreams are definitely just as welcome (not the sex ones, though). :D
Re: magic, I would love an AU (not a complete setting change AU, though) where the entire concept of "magic comes from pain" gets thrown out the window. Not because I necessarily hate it (it's not a DNW for any other prompts) but because this is idfic and I want the characters to just use magic the way they can use any mundane resources in life. No one gets hurt, magic doesn't corrupt or destroy things or comes with a price, it just exists and you can just have fun with it or use it to permanently improve things.
All of the other idfic prompts should be self-explanatory. Other than my DNWs, anything goes, so go wild! :)
Feel free to center your fic around any of the listed character(s), the minor ones just as much as the main ones. You don't have to stick to one character - friendships between any of the listed characters (as well as their friendships with others) are amazing.
General dislikes (DNW):
Any romance; any sex; any kink; physical illness/sickness; someone being taken care of by another person (grooming, feeding, etc.); possessiveness; unresolved mind control or possession; violating consent and freedom portrayed as positive when it's "not a big deal" or "for someone's own good", also in a non-sexual context, also when it applies to children (convincing someone to do things they don't like, "playfully" tickling when someone says no, intentionally limiting someone's choices, "grounding", etc.); parents' POV on a parent-child relationship; self-sacrifice and self-denial portrayed as positive; non-canon pregnancy and childbirth.
Additional fandom-specific dislikes (DNW):
Quentin's death, permanent or temporary, and therefore episode 4x13 and a lot of season 5 (elements of season 5 existing in a world where Quentin never died are okay). Focus on Reynard or Plover (mentions and/or aftermath of what they've done are okay).

Re: canonically dead character being alive, I mostly mean Grace, but Freddie is definitely okay too if you write about gen 2.
Re: dreams, bonus points if they are related to the processing of trauma or deeper discovery of the self.
Re: magic, I would love an AU in which magic exists in the canon setting and the characters can use it the way they can use any mundane resources in life. No one gets hurt, magic doesn't corrupt or destroy things or comes with a price, it just exists and you can just have fun with it or use it to permanently improve things.
Re: mental instability and losing a grip on reality, I mostly mean the exploration of what canonically happened to either Effy or Liv. Other characters are welcome too if they have a canon mental illness that could have these symptoms. I would also love some kind of happy ending, where there's at least hope of the character getting better.
I'm especially fond of a positive/supportive relationship between Katie and Effy.

Re: dorkiness, geeking out and joy in stormy weather, I just want these characters to catch a break and have some fun. It can be a part of a fic that mainly deals with something else, or it can be its own fic where nothing bad happens to anyone at least for as long as the fic lasts. Geeking out can also refer to Becca pre-apocalypse.
Re: outsider POV on social media, I mean pre-apocalypse public opinon on Becca and her inventions. I'm just fangirling the entire concept of her having been a celebrity, kinda like Elon Musk is right now.
All of the other idfic prompts should be self-explanatory. Other than my DNWs, anything goes, so go wild! :)
You don't have to stick to one character - friendship between Octavia and Madi is amazing, and so is Becca meeting one or both of them (with time travel that's easy).
The relationships between Aurora Blake & either of her children, between Bellamy & Octavia, and between Clarke & Madi if they're portrayed as healthy (mentions of these relationships as dysfunctional are okay).

-Best enemies, who might kill each other someday but fundamentally respect and trust each other, perhaps more than they do their nominal allies. Rivals and enemies becoming friends, or allies, or lovers, or swearing loyalty to one another.
-Kneeling. Physical gestures of loyalty or affection.
-Unexpected mercy. Mercy in general, too.
-Heroism in desperate straits, characters choosing to be heroic even in a dystopia or doomed world.
-Magical abilities/superpowers in daily life.
-Mentor-student relationships, particularly those that are fond and respectful even as the student has come to disagree fundementally with the mentor.
-Powerful women. Women holding power over men. Femdom.
-Characters who have high standards and ruthlessly apply those standards to themselves.
-Righteous rage.
-Competence.
-Hurt/comfort.
Things I love about EFRW in general: Hurt/comfort! The way the harems support and protect each other! Rose (and John when he's good and alive) slowly earning the harems' trust even though they look just like the people who put them through hell! All the unexpected mercy and all the times the harems justifiably expect the worst and it somehow does not come!
Things I love about the Dead John branch in particular: Rose's isolation and loneliness (I love all the flavors of woobiness this 'verse has to offer). Rose's badassery. Unexpected harem favorite Sollux and his weird slow friendship with Rose (I also totally ship them as moirails). Everyone in the harems being terrified of Rose because if she killed John then all bets are off (even as she's trying to make things better).
Things I love about the Ancestors branch in particular: The way the kid-trolls are terrified of the adults but still fold them into the harem solidarity network, because how could they not? The adults being touched and kind of in awe of the kids' capacity for kindness after all this. The possibility that the adults feel responsible for the kids getting targeted for trauma in the first place!
... I would also definitely be up for a hybrid in which Rose, having killed Evil John and sent someone back to get Gamzee and various tied-up boys from wherever they'd been stashed, realizes that in addition to all the horrors she's seen so far today there are traumatized Ancestors chained up in the basement. (Perhaps isolated purposefully from the rest of the harems?)

Fandom-Specific Likes:
-Sworn to protect a world that hates and fears them? My id.
-Mutant powers! I love exploration of mutant powers, how they work, how people use them in daily life, clever ways to use them in fights.
-I love how totally bonkers X-Men comics can be. Space opera adventures one day, canon sword & sorcery AU the next? Of course!
Redemption arcs!
-I love how dramatic so many of these characters are. Magneto, Storm, Exodus, lots of others--they live their lives turned up to eleven and I adore that. (I also love the idea of them bonding over how this is another person who understands the worth of drama!)
-I have a thing for power—well, multiple things for power. I love superpowers themselves, the way they might change how their wielder sees the world. I love powerful women. And I love powerful men who nonetheless submit to others (see Exodus).
-The Octopus Shirt. If someone ends up wearing it, I will be very, very happy.
-You know how the Phoenix is obsessed with Scott because Jean loved him, and also because Dark Phoenix Saga history? I'm into that. I would also be here for basically that but with other people that Jean and Rachel loved—surely the Phoenix experienced that love too! Give me this cosmic force honing in on these people and how that feels to them.

-I'm really into Exodus's ten-miles-above-the-top loyalty/worship. And something about this ridiculously powerful guy who's always either obsessively serving someone else or seeking someone else to serve really tickles my id!

-So. I have a soft spot for Mei, and it makes me sad that she never gets the relationship she wants in canon. And honestly, she's powerful, deadly, gorgeous, and has to be pretty damn politically competent to have dragged her village out of the 'Bloody Mist' era—in other words, she ought to be a hell of a catch! So I would like her to make a mutually happy and politically beneficial match with someone who appreciates her many excellent qualities.

I loved her as a resourceful human ally, loved that moment when she turned to Scott and demanded to know what he'd gotten her into, loved her yellow sundresses and loved her as mission control in Australia. I am not a fan of the Goblyn Queen thing; I'd love either a fixit for that happening in the first place or a story set later in which another character pulls her back. I just want her to be a hero again and to forge new relationships that have nothing to do with being Jean's clone--or bond with other people who are in Jean's shadow, or forge a new relationship with Jean herself.

-Okay, look. When I first got into Naruto fic, I read a lot of OT3 fic, such that a part of my brain still thinks ninja teams are basically arranged marriages. The failure of the Sannin's team was high tragedy to me, and I was also convinced that part of the tragedy was that they never got together.
