Nominations clarification post #4

Nominations are closed. The tagset contains 3600 ships in 574 fandoms, and nearly 1700 freeforms.

A thousand thanks to the removers of pipes and adders of canons. The queue has been cleared, and we're down to a very achievable list of questions. We did take the initiative on de-piping some nominations in order to keep approvals moving; please let us know if we got any wrong.

Also many thanks to the eagle-eyed spotters of duplicates. Please keep those reports coming.

We've received reports of tags wandering between MDZS - MXTX and The Untamed; let us know if you spot something with the disambiguation for one categorized under the other.

Several Original Work ships labeled Multi have been moved to Other, and vice versa. We've clarified the rules on what to do if a ship could conceivably fall into either category; in brief, Multi is for 3+ humans and/or humanoids (vampires, ghosts, etc.) of any gender assortment, and Other is for any ship where at least one participant is non-human and non-humanoid (pet kittens, tentacle monsters, etc.) as well as for 2-human(oid) ships with unspecified or nonbinary genders.

If l'esprit d'escalier strikes and you think of a freeform that you absolutely must add, let us know and we will add one per person. This offer ends when sign-ups open. We cannot add new fandoms or ships at this stage.

1: Pheris Erondites (Queen's Thief) was inadvertently entered as a fandom. We rejected it as a fandom but added it manually as a ship under the fandom The Queen's Thief - Megan Whalen Turner. Please let us know if it should be somewhere else.

Stranger Things (TV 2016), 1: Any Older Teen (Stranger Things): Will people in this fandom know who is, and is not, included in this group? Does it need to be made more specific to avoid being interpreted as including a random 17-year-old side character or OC?

Seducing a third character into a threesome and then realizing they actually just want each other: "They" is open to misinterpretation. Could this be rephrased as A/B Seduce C into a Threesome; Then A/B Realize They Only Want Each Other, or is something else meant?

Cleanup:
"Qui-Gon Jinn/Obi-Wan Kenobi" (no disambiguation) is in both SWPT and SWTCW; as there's also "Qui-Gon Jinn/Obi-Wan Kenobi (SWPT)" under SWPT, I think that's what was intended and the undisambiguated one slipped through the cracks somehow!

Tag added! And the non-disambiguated version of the ship has been removed.

The Terror and Stranger Things noms are both mine.

Totally fine with The Terror being split into ship and character separately!

There's not really a great name for the group I'm thinking of in Stranger Things, but I think 'older teens' is generally understood to encompass a fairly clear set of characters. But also I'm flexible and would be down for any older teen my creator wanted to give so I'm fine with taking the risk in my request if you're fine with approving it.

In the fandom "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971)" the only ship listed is a crossover, "Sixth Doctor (Doctor Who)/Willy Wonka (Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory 1971)" - I think that belongs under Crossover Fandom.

Hey, I nominated the Young Justice and Exocolonist tags in question. Both were meant to indicate the characters being shipped with each other, and both should be recognized by the fandoms.

Honestly I know I’d theoretically be okay with either sort of shipping for both, but I guess / works if you’d rather only have a tag for one

Typo fixed. The character limit for tags is 100 characters, but I've added "fandom-appropriate sci-fi/magic leads to sharing memories and learning new things about each other".
